FX
The shop for every Desert Fuzz digital pedal and effect: 37 on the shelf, by kind, each with a demo you can play here. What you own in the Studio drops straight onto an FX Board; the same shelf is in the app.
Prices on the shelf are placeholders until the store opens. The pedals run in Desert Fuzz Studio for the Mac today.
Fuzz
A round fuzz, after the two-transistor kind: thick and soft-edged, lopsided enough to sing, and it cleans up with the guitar's volume · $19
A gated fuzz: the signal rests far off the middle of the curve, so a note rips, and a gate shuts it off dead when it falls · $19
An octave fuzz: the wave is folded over before the clipping, so the octave above rings over the note · $19
Two voices fitted to captures of the Fuzz War and the FZ-1w, under one face · $29
The FZ-1w's fitted curve driven harder, with a tone made so the SG's dry take comes out with the average long-term tone of 19 Scouter electric guitar stems (amp, speaker and SM57 included) · $19
An octave fuzz · Coming
The desert chain: fuzz, octave and mid · $39
A second fuzz voice or a distortion · Coming
A standalone fuzz · Coming
Drive
A transparent overdrive: the clipped sound sits beside the guitar's own, untouched, so the pick attack stays · $19
A clean boost: level and a little sparkle · $15
A hard-clip distortion: high gain against a flat ceiling, tight at the bottom, with the fizz filtered off the top · $19
A soft blues overdrive: a low gain, a rounded lopsided clip, and almost nothing taken from the guitar's tone · $19
A mid-hump overdrive: the lows are cut before the clipping and the highs after it, which pushes a guitar forward in a band · $19
An amp-in-a-box, for going straight to the interface: a preamp's crunch into a power stage, then the tone of an amp, its speaker and an SM57, taken from the Scouter guitar stems · $29
A treble booster: only the top of the guitar is pushed, into a lopsided clip · $19
